However, if you want to create an FTP user account for a specific directory, you can create a separate FTP account. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>1.<\/strong> Log in to your cPanel account.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>2.<\/strong> In the <strong>Files<\/strong> section, click on <strong>FTP Accounts<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/img\/cpanel-ftp-icon.gif\" alt=\"\" align=\"middle\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>3.<\/strong> Under <strong>Add FTP Account<\/strong>, fill in the following details: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Log in:<\/strong> Enter an FTP Username such as <strong>new-user<\/strong> (without space).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Password:<\/strong> Enter your new password or use a password generator.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>Directory:<\/strong> For granting access to the entire directory of \/public_html, enter <code>public_html<\/code> or change the directory path to a sub-directory such as <code>public_html\/new-user<\/code>.
