Acceptable Use Policy
Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) explains prohibited activities and content for users of Wicked Robot Development services (the “Services”) and supplements our Terms and Conditions. The AUP exists to protect platform stability, security, and the experience of all customers; violations may result in content removal, suspension, or termination of services and disclosure to authorities when required by law.
Prohibited Content & Activities
You must not use the Services to host, transmit, or distribute illegal content, infringing material, or content that violates local, U.S., U.K., or EU law. Prohibited content and activities include, without limitation: warez or copyrighted content you do not own, phishing pages, malware or ransomware distribution, fraudulent or scam websites, unlicensed financial services, illegal pharmaceuticals or lottery sites, file‑sharing or file‑storage services that are primarily used for distribution of copyrighted works, and other content clearly intended for misconduct. Adult content that is lawful where hosted may be allowed but remains subject to other rules and local law compliance.
Spam, Bulk Messaging, & Email Abuse
Mass unsolicited email, abuse of SMTP relays, harvesting or buying email lists for unsolicited mail, and any activity designed to bypass anti‑spam controls is prohibited. Accounts used for bulk mailing must have explicit prior approval and may be restricted to specific plans or add‑ons; sending high‑volume mail from shared hosting environments without authorization may result in immediate suspension.
Resource Abuse & Shared Environment Limits
Services hosted on shared infrastructure are subject to resource limits and fair‑use controls. Prohibited resource abuses include sustained high CPU, memory, or I/O usage, running unauthorized persistent background processes or miners, high‑volume streaming, hosting large file‑storage or CDN workloads on shared plans, port scanning, brute‑force tools, and automated scanning/intense bots that degrade platform stability. Accounts that negatively affect other customers or the network may be throttled, suspended, or required to upgrade to a suitable plan.
Security, Compromise, & Abuse Response
You must secure your applications, credentials, and data and promptly remediate vulnerabilities. If your account is used to attack others, send malware, host command‑and‑control infrastructure, or is otherwise compromised, Wicked Robot Development may suspend or isolate the account, reset credentials, remove offending content, and cooperate with law enforcement. We reserve the right to take emergency actions to protect the platform and other customers.
DMCA, Copyright, & Notice Procedures
If you are a rights holder or represent one and believe content hosted on our platform infringes your copyright, follow the DMCA or applicable takedown procedures set out on our site. Wicked Robot Development will respond to valid notices and counter‑notices in accordance with applicable law and may suspend or terminate repeat infringers.
Network & Service Abuse
Activities that attempt to subvert or attack network infrastructure — including DDoS attacks, running botnets, port scans, unauthorized access attempts, and use of open proxies or anonymizing services to conceal abuse — are strictly prohibited. Use of network protocols in ways that interfere with normal routing, routing tables, or fair traffic handling may result in immediate remediation actions.
Enforcement, Remediation, &Appeals
When we reasonably suspect AUP violations we may: suspend or restrict services, remove or quarantine content, notify affected parties, or require remediation within a specified timeframe. Where possible we will provide notice and remediation steps, but immediate action may be taken for security or stability reasons. If you disagree with enforcement, follow the appeals process described in your control panel or contact support@wickedrobot.dev for review; retention of evidence for investigations will be governed by our policies.
Exceptions, Allowed Uses, & Contact
Some activities (for example, certain financial services, automated messaging, or high‑volume applications) may be permitted with prior written approval and by moving to an appropriate plan or dedicated infrastructure. For questions about permitted uses, to request approvals, or to report abuse, contact support@wickedrobot.dev. Emergency abuse reports should include timestamps, headers, and supporting logs where available to assist investigation.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be posted at wickedrobot.dev with a revised effective date; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
